Mahtab Kowsari (M.A.) is an education producer at the Religious Freedom of the Newseum Institute where she works with a team of faculty and experts to coordinate the technical operations and content development of the virtual campus and learning management system including production of multimedia projects, such as educational interactive and course videos. 

Mahtab worked as a producer, editor and anchor for Voice of America for about five years and through this time she produced and presented more than hundred TV reports mostly focused on social issues.

Mahtab produced three full length documentaries portraits three of the significant Iranian figures. Her first documentary was a biography of ninety years old “Sattareh Farmanfarmaian” the mother of social work in Iran and the author of “Daughter of Persia”.

Her second documentary was the biography of “Mahnaz Afkhami” Former minister of women’s issues and the founder of Women Learning Partnership in United States.

Her third documentary is a biography of “Parviz Kardan” one of the pioneer TV producer in Iran.

Mahtab earned her Masters of Art degree in Film and Video from American University on 2014.
