Julia Moroles graduated from Augsburg College in Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in film production and studio art production and a minor in religion. After graduating, Julia lived in El Salvador, where she taught film editing, art and photography in Spanish. While she resided in El Salvador, she studied the liberation theology movement in Central America.When Julia returned from El Salvador, she completed a multimedia internship at a think tank in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she created two short documentaries on public policy issues. Her short documentary Colossal Costs closely analyzed higher education loan debt, and was screened in festivals from coast to coast.
Currently, Julia is completing a master’s degree in film and electronic media at American University. She has recently been honored by the president of American University for her short film on the Eagle Endowment. Julia also participated in documenting the March for Science for American University’s Center for Environmental Impact. Julia will be a production assistant for the Religious Freedom Center for the summer of 2017.
