Blair Forlaw is a volunteer with the Religious Freedom Center and the Newseum. Her professional career spans three decades of work with metropolitan planning organizations in Atlanta and St. Louis, where she strove to put people first in regional decision making around economic development, job training, human services, education, housing, transportation, tax policy and the environment. In this capacity, she designed and implemented innovative initiatives to challenge ineffective systems. Currently, she studies emerging new economy models for non-formal learning outside traditional higher education. Blair has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in public and urban affairs from Georgia State University. Descended from generations of Quakers, Blair is a longtime advocate and activist within the Religious Society of Friends. She is a member of the historic Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
