Welcome to the Religious Freedom Center of the Freedom Forum Institute. I am here to ensure that each student who journeys through our education program encounters a seamless process from the recruitment stage all the way through the courses and to certificate completion. Once admitted, I will serve as your primary point of contact for enrollment, scholarships, payments and communication with administrators at the Religious Freedom Center’s partner schools. I will be here to help if you have a scheduling conflict or need guidance selecting a course. You can refer to Programs for a detailed treatment of all graduate courses.


Life happens. Whether you are looking to balance graduate coursework, work and home life or confronting a personal crisis, you don’t need to face these issues on your own. Our staff and faculty are trained to offer you counseling as well as vocational support.


Since we use a blended learning educational design, we combine online coursework with an on-site educational conference in Washington, DC. Don’t worry if you encounter technical difficulties along the way. Our professional technical support staff is equipped to help you.


The Religious Freedom Center respects the diversity of religions and spiritual practices in the learning community. Students who wish to observe religious holidays that occur when classes are scheduled must inform their instructors before the fact, preferably within the first week of the class. Students who make such arrangements will not be required to attend classes or take examinations on the designated days, and faculty must provide reasonable opportunities for students to make up missed work and examinations. Please inform the instructor in writing if you are in need of religious accommodations or are participating in any fasting rituals.


Your academic success is important. If you have a documented learning or physical disability that might have an impact on your coursework, please inform your instructor. We are available to provide you with reasonable accommodations and advocate for removing any obstacles that may be preventing you from learning or participating in educational activities.


Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the onsite educational conferences at the Newseum and for securing their own lodging. Students who seek to decrease their expenses are encouraged to find roommates among their classmates or seek alternate housing options.

You will find information on how to get to the Newseum by train, bus, air, or car, as well as how to get around once you’re here—make sure to check out the Metrorail and bikeshare. Did we mention food? There are many delicious food options within and near the Newseum.
