Travel Scholarships for Religious Freedom Courses

The Center for Islam and Religious Freedom (CIRF) is offering Travel Scholarships for students to attend the “Washington DC Immersion” as part of the Religious Freedom Center’s semester-long courses that blend online learning with a three-day conference at the Newseum. The immersions will take place at the Newseum in Washington, DC from October 16-19 for the Fall 2017 semester and from March 19-21 for the Spring 2018 semester.

How this works

  • Step 1: Apply to become a student at the Religious Freedom Center (tuition scholarships are also available).
  • Step 2: After being accepted by the Religious Freedom Center, apply for a CIRF Travel Scholarship.
  • Step 3: CIRF travel scholarship applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. The sooner you apply, the more likely you are to get a scholarship.
  • Step 4: Successfully complete the course, including participation in the 3-day Immersion in Washington, DC, and CIRF will reimburse up to $500 of transportation and/or lodging expenses upon submission of receipts.
